Terms and conditions

• Once you have purchased your ticket there is no reimbursement. (Without any exception).
• The ticket is individual (cannot be transferred).
• You must arrive 45 minutes prior to the time of departure in order to check the baggage.
• In order to cancel your ticket, you will have to arrive prior to your departure, and you will have 90 days to use it. Changing the date of your ticket will carry a 10-dollar surcharge.
• The ticket is only valid for the date and time indicated on the ticket. If the passenger is not present at the time of the departure, the ticket will automatically be lost and no date can be assigned for that ticket.
• Passengers must have the corresponding required documents for their trip, which will be checked prior to boarding because they will be needed to enter the other country.
• Federal laws prohibit smoking on board the bus.
• We have a zero-tolerance policy relating to alcohol, drugs, firearms and disruptive behavior.
• The minimum age to travel alone is 17 years.
• The luggage is subject to being checked upon crossing any border.
• Types of tickets: RN-7 years (Minors), 08 - 59 (Adult), 60+ Senior Citizen/INAPAM
• Travelling with any type of pet is prohibited
• Forbidden articles.- Acids, flammable liquids, corrosives, fire arms, fuel tanks, compressed gases, radioactive materials, pets, explosives, poisons.

LUGGAGE

1.- The luggage permitted will be two (2) regular suitcases of 50 pounds (23 kilograms) per adult and one (1) suitcase per child; additional baggage will be charged as excess luggage and the surcharge will depend on the weight and size; each pound will be charged $1.00 dollar, and excess luggage will be subject to space availability in the trunk of the bus.
2.- Forbidden luggage: Engines, auto transmissions, bicycles, plastic boxes, tires, televisions larger than 32 inches, wheelchairs (unless the person is disabled)
NOTE.- The fee paid for excess baggage will not cover transfers to another line in the national territory.
3.- The luggage or bags carried in the overhead compartments of the bus are not the responsibility of the company, but rather of the passenger; in addition, the passenger must also make sure that all his bags kept in the trunk of the bus are properly labelled and that he or she is given the corresponding ticket stub. The company Autobuses Mares Inc./Autobuses S. Mares S.A. de C.V. will only be responsible for a loss or damage of up to $100.00 per baggage after presenting the corresponding ticket stub.
4.- Upon arrival at Mexican or United States Customs, each passenger is responsible for unloading his luggage from the bus, taking it to be checked and loading it on the bus again.

TOURIST WITH A VISA

1. Passport and valid Visa
2. Pay the $6.00 permit in line ahead of time www.i94.cbp.dhs.gov
3. Name, address, and a telephone number where he or she can be contacted in the United States
4. Proof of address (water, electricity or telephone receipt)
5. Income verification
6. Bank statements (if available)
7. If the passenger is a communal land owner (field worker), documents from procampo or fierro de herrar (welding iron).
8. If the passenger is a student, a certificate of studies

NOTE: In the event of being denied entry, the passenger must report this within 24 hours to the agency where the ticket was purchased in order to be reimbursed for a percentage of the purchase price.

American Citizen

1. Valid passport (passport card o passport book)
2. $22 Dollar fee for tourist permit

American Resident

1. Valid Mexican Passport
2. Residency card
